Gay Bozeman

Bozeman, Montana

Bozeman, Montana, USA.
Gay and Lesbian Hotels, Inns and Guest Houses - Reviews and Ratings. Gay and Lesbian Travel.

Pretty, tree-lined BOZEMAN lies at the north end of the lush Gallatin valley, 142 miles west of Billings and a mere ninety miles north of Yellowstone. Founded by farmers in 1863, it's the only sizeable town in Montana not to owe its roots to mining, railroading or lumbering. The smart-looking storefronts along the busy Main Street just beg to be window-shopped by gay and lesbian travelers who might just bump into one of the Hollywood celebrities who have set up home or business in this increasingly trendy gay friendly town.

Bozeman has a good range of gay and gay friendly hotels, inns and guesthouses for the gay and lesbian traveler to choose from. Prices and amenities range from budget to deluxe so there is plenty of choice for the most discerning gay and lesbian travelers.

For gay and lesbian lovers of museums and galleries, Bozeman will not disappoint. There’s the huge and impressive Museum of the Rockies displaying impressive dinosaur fossils and bones, Native American weapons and a fine selection of Western landscape paintings. On the smaller side, there’s the Pioneer Museum displaying local artifacts and cartoons drawn by local boy Gary Cooper. Striking a modern note, the Compuseum follows the evolution of computers, from their bulky, awkward beginnings to the modern compact incarnations of today.

Bozeman is also well placed for gay and lesbian travelers in search of outdoor activities, particularly in rugged Hyalite Canyon just south of town. The canyon offers top-notch hiking and mountain biking in summer and excellent ice climbing in winter, or at the challenging ski spot, Bridger Bowl. An hour's drive south down the beautiful Gallatin Valley is Big Sky Resort with plenty of top-quality powder and steep slopes on 11,166ft Lone Mountain to challenge gay and lesbian skiers at all levels. Bozeman also offers excellent fly fishing, hunting, canoeing and kayaking. It’s an angler's paradise with several outstanding streams and rivers within an hour's drive.

So, for gay and lesbian travelers who enjoy small town dynamics within the great outdoors and all that it offers, then Bozeman has it all.
