Gay Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Gay and Lesbian Hotels, Inns and Guest Houses - Reviews and Ratings. Gay and Lesbian Travel

Las Vegas, Nevada attracts over 110,000 visitors a day who visit the city primarily to gamble. There is no definitive “gay” center. That being said, Vegas is FUN and is now the second most popular US destination for GLBT travelers, after New York. Las Vegas does not have an overtly vibrant gay scene. There is the one exclusively gay hotel, the Blue Moon Resort, and a few same sex bars and clubs such as Gipsy, Krave at the Alladin complex and the Back Door Lounge. But as for an energized gay scene, forget it. Don’t expect anything hot and steamy – not unless you are talking about the weather.

Las Vegas gay and lesbian hotels, inns and resorts, with the exception of the Blue Moon Resort which opened in 2006, are virtually non-existent. However, the lack of specifically gay owned accommodation is more than made up by the number of Las Vegas gay friendly hotels, inns and resorts marketing to the gay and lesbian traveler. Locals even call the Mandalay Bay, the Mandalay “Gay” because of its popularity with gay travelers.

Las Vegas offers some of the most lavish hotels to be found anywhere in the world. Some strongly themed, like the Venetian and Caesar’s Palace, others, like the Bellagio and the new Wynn hotel, are more subtle. The great thing is that Vegas offers such a range of accommodation that no matter your price point, you’ll find a room or suite that perfectly fits your budget.

Not only does Las Vegas feature some of the most lavish gay friendly hotels in the world, it also offers some of the most luxurious casinos and entertainment places the world has to offer. Similar to the lavish hotel suites in Las Vegas, there’s going to be a casino table which fits well in with your budget. Whether it’s an internet casino in the hotel foyer, or a land casino like the Bellagio or Caesar’s Palace, you will be able to wager a suitable amount according to your budget. You can gamble anything from as little as a dollar in a Las Vegas casino, but if you’re a high roller then be prepared to spend big.

To compliment La Vegas’ fabulous gay friendly hotels, inns and resorts are the lavish and spectacular shows such as Cirque du Soleil “Love” and “Phantom of the Opera” at the Venetian. Hotels also attract some of the biggest names in entertainment such as Celine Dion, Elton John and Bette Midler.

There are also gay friendly pools and nightclubs that are big in Vegas. Add to this the world-class restaurants and shops to be found in the 'over the top' arcades located in many hotels and you can see why Las Vegas, Nevada is to appealing to the gay and lesbian traveler.
