Dear all!
It's such a pleasure finding this group and great souls like you. My name is Dino Dey, a 32 year old man from India. I write reviews and contents for http://www.gay-art-history.org/ and that is all I do for my passion. I want to make many friends here especially those who've been rigorously traveling and writing something worth. But that doesn't prevent other people from joining me.
Have a wonderful life to you all. Dino edited by Dinoz on 7/10/2010

I'd rather eat dog food than eat at Sal's Place

This is possible the worst restaurant I have seen, definitely by FAR the worst in ptown. The service was horrible, taking our appetizers 30 minutes to come out, and they were simple salads, which were disgusting, swimming in tons of dressing. we tried to make the most of it by ordering champagne for the table to curb our appetites BUT even that was horrible, who serves warm champagne. our entrees finally arrived over an hour and a half later and were not appetizing. one of our friends literally took one bite threw cash on the table and walked away. my only regret besides even cosidering eating here was not doing the same! the service was inexcuseable, and when we alerted management she said "sorry you have had any less than perfection' try less than acceptable. avoid this place at all costs! places like this do not deserve to be in business.

A gay-friendly hotel you can't miss in Paris!

We found this hotel to be not only charming but unique. Based on literary and artistic themes, each room has a different decor. Rooms are small but accomodating with upscale furnishings and accessories. Great location to visit anywhere in Paris. Close to latin quarter, Luxembourg gardens and easy access to transportation. Numerous restaurants and eateries to choose from. Staff is very pleasant and speak several languages. Recommend this hotel for singles, business travelers or couples on a romantic adventure. Besides, as a gay-friendly hotel, it gives a most respect to the gay society. The several charming themes could also be a great reason for them to stay in Apostrophe.
Anyway, you should definitely check out their website! -- http://apostrophe-hotel.com/design-hotel

Just wanted to say hello.Am a well travelled mature lesbian- in a very happy relationship with my gf of five years. We have had great holidays including Kenya last year . This year we are going to Bali. My son lives in Indonesia- speaks the language fluently- our aim is to look for a house in Bali which we can use as a small guest house for lesbian and gay travellers. I aim to open it in 2012 after taking early retirement as a teacher, allowing time to get to know the island ( I have been there before, my partner hasnt) and then open up. My son who now has full working visas etc is going to help me set everything up. I just wondered if anyone on here might be interested in holidaying with us in the future- we aim to keep costs as low as possible. edited by Balilady on 6/18/2010

Granada, Nicaragua is the oldest city in all of the Americas. Rich in architecture, history and culture, Granada is heavily-traveled by tourists looking to capture the essence of the colonial period in which it was founded. Travel the cobblestone streets in a horse-drawn carriage and enjoy!
There is a large gay and lesbian community of Nicaraguans as well as resident expats in our city. Come check us out and stay in luxury while you're at it!

Barcelona and Sitges - gay destinations?
 leski Posts 1

Hi all,
I was really impressed by Barcelona and the sad story is I lost my digital camera on my trip back home, I must have left it is some airport counter or something because nothing else was missing from my bag, the thing is the camera wasn’t a great expensive one, but the memory card had all my trip pictures in it so I couldn’t upload any of them into my blog. I don’t miss my camera I miss my memory card
Sitges is my favorite place to go to the beach,
How to Get from Barcelona to Sitges: Sitges is less than 45 minutes by Cercanias Renfe (the suburban train network) from the center of Barcelona. Trains leave every 30 minutes and cost about 5 € each way. Board the train at the Passeig de Gracia subterranean train station.
How to Get to Sitges from Barcelona Airport: The service is called MonBus and runs every two hours from approximately 9am until about 10.30pm and also stops in the center of Barcelona. For accurate information at the time of your arrival, call the Barcelona Airport tourist information line +34 934 784 704.
Sitges, nude beach and recommendations
Head for Balmins - as you look at the sea, go left beyond the cemetery: it's about 15 minutes walk from the main promenade, beyond San Sebastian beach. Very mixed/couples, and no pressure to go naked if you don't want to. It also has a good restaurant overlooking the beach but that may be closed by October.
The main beach - beautiful - is long and sandy, as is the other main beach - SanSebastian, though smaller and more 'Spanish'. Further out at Balmines there are, I suppose, 'rocky coves' - but these also incorporate the nudist (and gay) beaches. If you're OK with that then that's the place to head for. It's out of town - though in easy walking - about 15 / 20 minutes - but virtually no bars or hotels in that area. Sitges is quite a small place, so if you want to be near the hotels, bars and night life you have to stay in town. An alternative is the Melia Sitges, which is in the Aiguadolç area, by the marina. There you'll have the choice of another sandy beach while being near to Balmines. There are lots of places to eat and drink in the marina area. A taxi ride or 30 minutes walk into town.

Where to stay this time?

My boyfriend and I go to ft. lauderdale 2-4 times a year and every time we have had a great time. We always stay at one of the guest houses and have stayed at a couple different ones. the worthington and the windamar. We stayed at the windamar once but every other time we have stayed at the worthington. I am 22 and my boyfriend is 29. To those of you who are reading this please don't take offense to this however it has been hit or miss with the crowd. I guess what I am really trying to ask is which of the guest houses tends to have a younger crowd, if any? The first time we went and stayed at the worthington- we met people our age and had a great time. However the second time we went there was a much older crowd- which is fine, however it can be a little hard to start conversation when there isn't much in common. I know that no matter where we stay we will have a great time, but it would be nice to meet people around the same age. If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts it would be greatly appreciated!

Scotland - fabulous destination for gay travellers
 lovescotland.com Posts 1

A new online tour operator promises tailor-made packages for gay holiday makers and civil partnerships.
Scotland certainly doesn’t come up short as a travel destination – ancient castles, exquisite Highland scenery, and splendid cities in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Now an online travel site is hoping to encourage gay and lesbian travellers and those tying the knot to head to north. www.lovescotland.com launched in February and specialises in tailor-made holidays and civil partnerships, and hopes to promote Scotland as the destination of choice.
In an article published on www.pinkpaper.com Lee Beattie from Lovescotland is quoted saying: “As a gay-owned company, we understand all of the awkward travel moments experienced by same sex couples, such as being offered the twin room when checking into a hotel."
"And we know that the traditional wedding planning route is often an uncomfortable experience for same-sex couples. Love Scotland will take care of these moments by ensuring that all of our partners are gay-friendly, and by offering a bespoke service to ensure couples feel comfortable and relaxed about each stage of their wedding or holiday planning.”
