I heard they changed ownership, but the last time I was in Ft. Lauderdale (August of 2009) it seemed like it was closed. There hasn't been a review since 2006, so I was wondering how it is if it is still open.

I live fairly close to Bamboo Resort and pass by there several times a week. It has been quite some time since I have seen any cars parked there except for the new owners' vehicle with the Maine license plates. I heard that it had been sold a couple of years back to new owners from Maine. A friend of mine works for a local rental car agency and said that he has stopped by there on a number of occasions and there has never been anyone there (referring to the owners). As most of the gay resorts are located near the beach and Bamboo is situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood, that could be a reason that it seems to be generally empty.
