I've stayed at the East Canyon Resort and Spa and it was the dullest place in Palm Springs. I didn't realize that it wasn't closing optional, not that it mattered to much, but I wish I'd read the small print. The room was OK but there are better in town for the price. On a scale of 1 - 10, the massage I had was a generous 5. Breakfast was fairly basic. In its favor, it was within easy driving distance of the World Gym which is a great place to work out. So if you're looking for a fun place for a weekend visit, look around, there are more 'interesting' places
