We stayed at Abercam La Fortuna hotel in La Fortuna, Costa Rica and loved it. The individual villas were big, clean and had everything. Very nicely done inside and out and the hosts were amazing. Theres a heated pool thats clothing optional and breakfast and all our drinks were included in the rate (Loved the margaritas!!!). The hotel is private and the volcano was a beautiful sight. The downtown La Fortuna has lots of shopping, bars and restaurants and is about a 5 minute ride from the hotel. We did the canopy ziplines which were fantastic and then went to the hot springs later in the day and just melted in the warm water.
The owners suggested a night time hike at the volcano with their private guide the following day, which was very enjoyable and we took some great shots of the volcano. The guide spoke good english and showed us animals along the way we would have never seen. The Abercam La Fortuna hotel staff was very friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. These guys know how to run a hotel like no other.We only had 3 nights there but wish we had planned for more time. This was the best part of our time in Costa Rica and we will definitely return. If you´re looking for a great value with top notch surroundings and service, then Abercam La Fortuna is the place.
