Was great, but in real danger of losing it.
My partner and I have stayed each year for four years. We stay between 3 and 6 weeks at a time. This time we stayed three weeks, over the course of our five week stay in the USA.

We're sorry to say that this was our last visit. I'm genuinely upset that our 'special place' is no more.

The former owners, Bruce and Frank, worked very hard to accomodate their guests. Nothing was too much trouble. They and their staff knew when a friendly hand was needed, and when to stay and leave the guests to have fun. Their service was efficient and discreet.

The same cannot be said of the new owner, who has nabbed the best room (the suite, 106) for himself, and from which he entertains a constantly changing stream of obnoxious, loud friends. The volume issue isn't just my opinion - for the first time ever, the neighbours complained bitterly, often shouting over the fences for the noise to cease. This is, as they pointed out, a quiet neighbourhood.

On one night, no less than five different guests came out of their rooms to find out what the comotion was.

Bruce's complimentary water and soda is gone. While unlimited and free, it must have cost all of $1 a guest a day to provide... a small gesture, but big enough to make this feel a home from home.

There is a real problem brewing here, and I really am sad to see my special place dying. Don't undo any more of Bruce's hard work.
