Hidden Tropical Paradise
After being in the Gay and Lesbian Travel and Tourism Industry for 12 years and most recently working at a gay resort in California - I didn't think it was possible to be “Wowed” by another gay accommodation (and I have been to many worldwide). Pineapple Point is the only gay property that I have been to that truly deserves its Five Palm rating or even a 4 Star hotel. Luxury and comfort are not just marketing terms to them.
From the moment of arrival the staff goes out of their way to welcome you and get you directly to your suite before touring the lush tropical grounds and checking you into the office. In fact, they made us an espresso right at the desk while we were checking in as they knew we were in a hurry to get to another appointment. They let you know right away they are there for anything that you need. The rooms are beautifully appointed with a classy, upscale tropical feel which I didn't think was possible at a Florida resort. We awoke every morning to a fresh pot of coffee, flower and the local newspaper at our door step. Breakfast is available in the office at your leisure so you do not feel rushed or on a time frame to hurry and get your food or it will be gone - you are also welcome to go into to the office, lounge and computer room even after closing to get whatever you may need, snacks, movies, books, computer access or whatever. The pool area is stocked with complimentary beverages and snacks all day long as well as magazines, newspapers, sunscreen, towels, pool floats and whatever else you may need. You can relax just about anywhere on the property, they even have hammocks and pillows around in the trees. Every attention to detail is made – flower petals are placed on all the rolled pool towels all over the property. There is a gym and massage facility on site as well as two Jacuzzis, a lap pool and the main pool. The, rooms, grounds and suites are immaculate and spotless. They even do turn down service with chocolates and the following day weather forecast. Make sure to get a tour of the villas if you do not rent one - it will absolutely blow you away. The staff cannot go out their way to do enough for you and making sure that you are comfortable from getting reservations for dinning, massage, tours or whatever you may need. And they are very happy and eager to do so. They have a daily cocktail hour for guests to meet each other as well as Saturday BBQ’s open to the public which adds a very nice touch. There is no question that when in Florida Pineapple Point is the only gay guesthouse to stay at. Don’t be fooled because you have to drive to the beach, its well worth being off the strip. Phil, Judd and their Staff have in my opinion achieved Perfection in a Tropical Paradise. We will definitely be back. Thanks for everything guys!!!!!
